As an emerging artist, I strive to have an artistic outlet necessary for being alive. I discuss family relationships, cultural identity, sexism, class, political systems, and emotional responses to each. I developed a figural approach to my work at Montserrat College of Art. So far I’ve created works in curation, illustration, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. I’m always working when it comes to art. I’ve filled many books with exploring what I experience daily. In life my love for basement show punk culture allows my art to have an alternative punchy approach. I love using my artwork to represent my people. Black people all across the diaspora are diverse in every way and we all deserve to be represented in the sphere of the future. Black Futurism is the portal to understanding my work and where I come from. When I think of my future I see it through the tangible, colorful lens of my art.
